UK: Thousands evacuated after bomb found near major London station

Armed police raced to the scene as commuters were told leave the tube and mainline rail station. Commuters faced hell as Victoria Tube Station was temporarily closed as police cordoned off a building site where the bomb was discovered.

The Met tweeted: “Officers are in attendence at a building site on Terminus Place SWI following the discovering of what is believed to be World War 2 ordnance.”

Buckingham Palace Road was partially closed and cordoned off during the scare.
