UK: A music teacher who has performed for the Queen punished teenage pupils by forcing them to put ice cubes down their pants.
James Eaton also made the 13-year-old boys take cold showers for turning up late or being too noisy on a school trip.
The top organist introduced the bizarre “forfeits” during a weekend at an outdoor centre and encouraged the Year 9 boys to film each other swimming in the pool with his underwater camera.
Eaton even warned one pupil he ticked off the week before the trip: “You will regret that after 9.30pm at camp.”
The teacher, who boasts on his website that he “has been broadcast on radio and TV and performed for Her Majesty” admitted his sick punishment system at a National College of Teaching and Leadership disciplinary panel.
He now faces a ban from classrooms.
Eaton arranged the weekend supposedly to help pupils make a decision about whether to take music as a GCSE.
Other teachers were also supervising but he banned his cabin of pupils from telling them about the punishments.
But the game was up when a teaching assistant overheard boys talking about “the secret forfeits”.
Nine pupils later revealed what Eaton had done.
