Student who has been missing for 4 days rescued from Vavuniya bus stand 

The student who has gone missing last Thursday from Kilinochchi town has been rescued by the police while she was waiting at the Vavuniya bus stand on Sunday evening. As order from the court magistrate the student was sent to a children’s home.

The parents has lodged a complaint in the Kilinochchi police station stating that their daughter has gone missing since Thursday when she went to meet her mother who was working in a children’s home in Kilinochchi town.

The student gone missing was Maniam Vithusha (age 16) studying 11th grader at the Urruppulam School in Kilinochchi. The police suspected the girl who was standing for a long time at the Vavuniya bus stand.

During the investigation the truth about the girl was revealed. The police produced the girl in front of the magistrate who order to place the girl in the children home.
