Spain gas explosion:  77 people injured

At least 77 people have been injured in a gas cylinder explosion in a cafe in Velez-Malaga in southern Spain, say officials. A spokesman for Andalucia region’s emergency unit said five people were being treated for serious injuries.

The explosion happened at about 5pm GMT during a festival in the town. Velez-Malaga is home to around 75,000 people and is 23 miles (37km) from Malaga itself.
