SHOCKING: Passenger plane with 168 people skidded out of the runway in Turkey

A passenger jet containing 168 people skidded off the runway and fell down a cliff as it was landing in Trabzon Airport in Turkey.

The Pegasus Airlines flight had travelled from Turkey’s capital Ankara and the Boeing 737-800 slipped on the icy runway as it came into land on Saturday evening.

Miraculously, none of the 162 passengers or the 6 staff on flight PC8622 were injured during the terrifying landing which caused the left jet engine to be ripped from the plane’s wing.

It it thought that the mud on the cliff caused the planes wheels to become stuck, therefore stopping it from plunging into the icy ocean.

Incredible photos posted from the site show the nose of flight PC8622 dangling precariously over the edge of the slope.

Shocking footage posted on social media shows the inside of the plane in the aftermath of the landing, and terrified passengers can be heard trying to get out of the plane as babies cry and a flight attendant tries to keep some calm over the sound system.
