Neymar Reveals Ballon D’Or Votes, Picks Messi 1st, Ronaldo 2nd

Every international team captain has a vote for the Ballon d’Or, so Neymar, named Brazil captain in September, has a say in the award for the first time.

There can be some tactical voting when it comes to the competition, but Neymar is not trying to deny bookies’ favourite Cristiano Ronaldo the prize.

While it is no surprise to see Neymar picking Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi number one, he did also give the Real Madrid man some credit by selecting him second.

Neymar rounded off his voting by selecting Argentina midfielder—and another Barcelona team-mate—Javier Mascherano third.

Neymar revealed his votes to Brazilian TV station Globo in an interview to be broadcast later this week.
