Michael Schumacher’s health not good

The 47-year-old is still receiving intensive treatment at his home in Switzerland following severe head injuries that he suffered in a skiing accident in France in December 2013. Mr Montezemolo said: “I have news and unfortunately it is not good.

“Life is strange. He was a fantastic driver and only had one accident with Ferrari in 1999.”

In November 2014, Schumacher’s friend Philippe Streiff claimed the F1 champ had been paralysed and was suffering memory and speech problems from the brain injuries he suffered in the accident.

He was moved to his home in September but Streiff said world his condition remained grave. Since his accident, motor racing fans across the world have been preying for Schumacher to get better. In November, FIA president Jean Todt said Schumacher was “still fighting”.
