Mani Ratnam Hospitalized: Heart Attack?

Prominent filmmaker Mani Ratnam who is basking in the glory of his latest release OK Kanmani  was hospitalized last night at a Delhi hospital with an alleged heart attack.

On contacting his manager, he confirmed that the maverick director went for a master health check up and that the allegations of cardiac arrest are nothing more than rumours.

On probing what gave rise to the heart attack angle to the entire episode, it is learnt that Mani Ratnam had initially complained of chest pain, which turned out to be an acidity problem.

A latest picture of the Aayutha Ezhuthu director was posted on a social networking page by Suhasini Maniratnam confirming that all is well. So why did Mani go to Delhi in the first place? Well, it is said that he had been to Kashmir to attend a golfing event and then decided to go for a check up at the Delhi Apollo Hospital on his way back.

Within minutes after the news that Mani Ratnam visited a hospital emerged, people from all over the country took to Twitter and wished him a speedy recovery making the word #ManiRatnam trend on the social networking platform.

Surely, he is the most loved and admired director of the current generation, it is proved yet again. Hope he gets back to Chennai as soon as possible to start his next project with Dhanush. Stay tuned for further updates.
