Man held for alleged cannibalism in Pakistan

A man has been arrested by Islamabad Police for alleged cannibalism.

The police have not confirmed the incident, in order to save the accused and his family from the wrath of local villagers, reported The Nation

While the duty officer at the local police station vehemently denied having arrested anyone for such a crime, his junior officials confirmed the arrest of a man on suspicion of eating human flesh, quoted the website.

The sample of the confiscated flesh has been sent for chemical examination and the accused is in judicial custody.

Previously, two brothers made headlines when they were found eating human flesh. They had served two years in prison.
