Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has returned to training, per Mundo Deportivo. The Argentine, who suffered a groin injury on Sept. 21 in Barca’s match against Atletico Madrid, has been out of action since. The star was expected to miss three weeks, with his return expected around Oct. 12.
He wasn’t called-up to the Argentina national team for the two upcoming World Cup qualifiers but returned to training with Barca on Monday. He should be ready for Barca’s next match, which comes on Oct. 15 against Deportivo. Barcelona lost on Sunday against Celta Vigo and sits fourth in La Liga’s standings.
