iPhone 7 to have wireless AirPod headphones

It’s long been rumoured that the iPhone 7 will ditch the headphone socket so that the handset can be made as thin as possible. While the general thought was that Apple would instead use the Lightning port, there’s now a good chance that the company may make a set of Bluetooth wireless headphones instead.

According to 9to5 Mac, Apple is said to have registered the name AirPods for the new headphones. According to sources, the new headphones are said to be similar to the Motorola Hint (pictured below): the tiny buds slip into the ear, leaving very little visible from the outside.
