If this latest Apple rumour is to be believed there could be some very good news for iPhone fans. It appears the US tech giant is about to ditch its 16GB iPhone and replace it with a much bigger 32GB model. Better still, this upgrade to the iPhone 7’s memory appears to come free of charge.
The rumour was posted on WeChat and suggests Apple is set to kill both 16GB and 64GB internal storage tiers, replacing them with 32GB and 128GB options.
According to the leak, the iPhone 7 will arrive with either 32GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Currently, the entry-level iPhone ships with a rather measly 16GB. Apple first introduced the 16GB storage configuration into the iPhone lineup in 2008 alongside the original iPhone.
