Grenade attack during Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ screening in Pakistan

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan‘s ‘Kick’ was released in Pakistan. There are many die hard fans of teh Dabangg khan there. The cinema halls were packed with them. When unidentified persons threw a hand grenade at a popular cinema here screening Salman Khan’s latest movie ‘Kick‘ on Thursday, July 31, injuring at least two persons.The cinema on the MA Jinnah road has been running housefull.

According to the statement given by senior police official Imran Shaukat, “the motive behind the attack as the modus operandi of attackers was similar to those who use grenades to damage property and spread fear. Two men on a motorcycle threw the hand grenade at the entrance of Capri cinema and fled from the scene. Two persons were injured.”

Salman khan film was welcomed by the fans in Pakistan.There is a heavy rush at all single screen cinema halls and the multiplexes and cineplexes in the city due to the Eid holidays too.

Theatres in Pakistan are under constant theat, militants have attacked cinemas in other parts of Pakistan too.
