In the last few months Sri Lankans Tamils home has been repeatedly targeted by a gang of professional burglars due to a combination of a guaranteed haul of gold , this prompted local authorities in urging families to keep their jewellery locked up in a good-quality safe and advised not to keep items in the top drawer of a chest of drawers, under the bed or in the back of the wardrobe – this is generally the first place offenders will look.
