German football team evacuated from Paris hotel after bomb threat

Manager Oliver Bierhoff has confirmed the national team have been forced to leave after the alarm was raised.

The exclusive Molitor hotel in the 16th arrondissement in the French capital is currently being searched with special force police dogs.

Mr Bierhoff told a German newspaper: “There was a bomb threat. The hotel has been widely cordoned off and evacuated.” The World Cup champions are playing France in a friendly at the Stade de France on Friday.
