Death penalty for Vidhya’s killers: Minister of Women’s Affairs

The Minister of Women’s Affairs Chandrani Bandara has stated that death penalty should be imposed on those who would be found guilty of raping and killing 18 year old Sivaloganathan Vidhya in Pungudutivu.

“The imposition of death penalty and zero tolerance will send a strong message to miscreants contemplating on committing such grave crimes” she has added issuing a press release.

She has further stated that the Crimes Investigation Department is working day and night to gather evidence to penalize those who responsible for the death of Vithiya and the special court which is to convict the wrongdoers will be established soon.
