7 killed, 12 injured in fire accident in China

BEIJING: Seven persons were killed and 12 others injured after fire broke out at a residential building in central China’s Hubei province, the local government said on Sunday.

The fire broke out last night at about 11.30pm at a building’s electric cable well in the city of Wuhan, according to the government.

Those injured are not in a critical condition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

The police, firefighters and safety regulators are investigating the cause of the fire, according to Wuhan government.
