Beijing: At least two people were killed and 11 others injured on Sunday when a blast ripped through an apartment building in northeast China’s Liaoning Province.
Rescuers found three people trapped in the rubble. Two of them were found dead while another has been hospitalised. Ten people sustained minor injuries.
The blast caused one side of the three-story building to collapse. Shattered glass and rubble have also injured passersby, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Authorities are yet to pin point the cause of the blast. An initial claim blaming it on a liquefied petroleum gas explosion has been ruled out as the fuel is not used in the neighborhood.
